deadite_237 While every single Diners record is guaranteed to be boppin' to a certain degree, the raw boppitude of Four Wheels and the Truth is unprecedented. The songwriter traversing the top of the monkey bars with a delicate and careless hop from rung to rung. And while the possibility of falling through is acknowledged, the straightforwardly warm production keeps her firm and without distraction as she bounds treacly into the blue. So yeah, you're gonna want to set all phasers to BIGCHILL on this one 😎 Favorite track: Don’t Wanna Be Bad.

erinmack Would I have survived the pandemic without Diners livestreams? What a gift to hear the songs from this LP take shape organically over the course of more than a year. To have discovered Blue's music when she was young and already incredibly accomplished and then have a chance to watch her just keep getting better has been one of Arizona's great blessings. On the brink of moving away, this music - full of vulnerability and heart - will always be inextricably linked with the Sonoran desert for me. Favorite track: Have A Good One.

DillyDallyLove50000 What beatific music. Makes me wanna "Run around, run around, run-a-run around." Healing music is a better word for it. Thank you! Favorite track: Brain Song.

Brain Song 02:58
I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, It doesn’t do anything that I want it to do, It doesn’t do anything that I want it to do. I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, It doesn’t do anything that I want it to do, It doesn’t do anything that I want it to do. Run around, run around, run-a-run around, Run around, run around, run-a-run around, Run around, run around, run-a-run around, Round and round it goes. I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, It doesn’t do anything that I want it to do, It doesn’t do anything that I want it to do. I think my brain, brain, brain, brain, brain, brain. I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, I think my brain might have a little brain of its own, I think my brain, brain, brain, brain, brain, brain.

If I’m gonna be right where my head is, If I’m gonna be right where my head is now, What’s the point of looking ‘round, In the middle of a cloud. If I’m gonna see out of my own eye, If I’m gonna see out of my own two eyes, Can I really be surprised when I’m looking at the skies. When every moment brings another melody for me, To try and wrap my heart around, I should sing out, should sing out, should sing out. If I’m gonna be right where my head is, If I’m gonna be right where my head is now, What’s the point of looking ‘round, In the middle of a cloud. If I’m gonna be right where my head is, If I’m gonna be right where my head is now, What’s the point of looking ‘round, In the middle of a cloud, In the middle of a cloud, In the middle of a cloud, In the middle of a cloud.

Yesterday I got so down, I wasn’t sure of what about, But something moved me deep inside, and now it’s crossed my mind, That I don’t wanna be bad no more, I don’t wanna be be bad no more, No I don’t want to be bad no more, I don’t wanna be bad. When I don’t wanna be bad no more, I don’t wanna be be bad no more, No I don’t want to be bad no more, I don’t wanna be bad bad bad. And how it hits me I don’t really understand, How I can wander round so long without a plan, Or a line in the sand. No I don’t wanna be bad no more, I don’t wanna be be bad no more, No I don’t want to be bad no more, I don’t wanna be bad bad bad. No I don’t wanna be bad, No, no, no, no. No I don’t wanna be bad, No, no, no, no.

Behind the curtain of a waterfall, I saw the camera move and slow dissolve. Now there’s a couple things that don’t sit right, Like roman candles under dark moonlight. And i was wrong to feel that way, And I was wrong to be afraid, I ask myself to try and learn, Something more real besides concern. This time around, This time around. And there was nothing more that I could say, Besides a billion things, but anyways, What does it mean to have specific taste, What can’t be held just floating out in space. What could be good’s already bad, What could be fun’s already had, I ask myself to try and learn, Something more real besides concern. This time around, This time around, This time around, This time around.

Half Glass 02:48
Big wheels gonna spin around, Gonna spin around and around so free. Half glass in the flower bed, Would’ve been a sign, Been a sign for me. There’s a book on the shelf from a different decade, Mirroring every word you’ve spoken. Every moment of cleanse takes a different meaning, Compared to the record you were playing. Big wheels gonna spin around, Gonna spin around and around so free. Half glass any other day Would’ve been a sign, Been a sign for me. Peace sign on the interstate, Gotta point it out everytime I see. Can’t bite in a pomegranate, If I will suppose I'll oppose some seeds. There’s a book on the shelf from a different decade, Mirroring every word you’ve spoken. Every moment of cleanse takes a different meaning, compared to the record you were playing. Look around, is it clearer now? Look around, is it clearer now? Big wheels gonna spin around, gonna spin around and around so free, Half glass any other day, Woulda been a sign, been a sign for me.

Out The Door 02:01
Out the door, carried by, Healthy wind to the sky. Like a tune, it could fly, Send it out, let it rise. You can only ride a wave for so long, You can only ride a wave for so long. Find your breath, find your mind, Find your heart, take the time. What comes up when you try? Send it out, let it rise. You can only ride a wave for so long, You can only ride a wave for so long. Out the door, carried by, Healthy wind to the sky. Like a tune, it could fly, Send it out, let it rise.

If you’ve ever put a spell on me, If you’ve ever put a spell on me, If you’ve ever put a spell on me, Please lift it off. If you’ve ever put a spell on me, If you’ve ever put a spell on me, If you’ve ever put a spell on me, Please lift it off. I never thought to ask, No, I never knew that I could. I never thought to ask, Till I wondered if I should Oh, Oh, Oh, I never thought till now. If you’ve ever put a spell on me, If you’ve ever put a spell on me, If you’ve ever put a spell on me, Who would you be? If I could see who put a spell on me, If I could see who put a spell on me, If I could see who put a spell on me, Who would I see? I never thought to ask, No, I never knew that I could. I never thought to ask, Till I wondered if I should. Oh, Oh, Oh, I never thought till now.

Driving that freight, Way out of state, Endless refrain on the wide open plains. Thought I was me as me as could be, Guess there’s more to see than I thought there’d be. Hanging around, Up and downtown, What can you do, When your blue’s got you down? Longing to be as tall as the trees, Hoping I can get there eventually. There’s gotta be something over me, There’s gotta be something I just can’t see, I don’t wanna be someone I’m not. Somewhere forgot, There’s a life out there that I’d wanna lead. Moving a long, Night until dawn, Hard to go wrong with a heart full of song. Now where would I be if I chose not to see, How much more there is than I thought there’d be. There’s gotta be something over me, There’s gotta be something I just can’t see, I don’t wanna be someone I’m not, Somewhere forgot, There’s a life out there that I’d wanna lead.

Tried To Try 02:41
Was longing for the weekend, But the weekend never came, I looked up at my calendar, Saw everyday the same. I wrote my word on paper, And I wrote my word again, I wrote my word down every year, Till my word had no end. I thought I’d try, Thought I’d try, Got no shame in asking why, I thought I’d try, Thought I’d try, I tried to try. Threw salt over my shoulder, Had to sweep up my whole room, I emptied out the shaker, And I still was feeling blue. I got myself to leave the house, But locked my keys inside. As soon as I discovered that, I laughed until I cried. I thought I’d try, Thought I’d try, Got no shame in asking why, I thought I’d try, Thought I’d try, I tried to try.

Down by the pool, Roadside motel, Dreaming a dream, Dreaming bigger than hell. All I could do, Was keep playing cool. Playing the fool, Like a fool’s gonna do. I see it all roll down the highway, That I’ve been driving down all day. My feet upon the pedals, Just an hourglass away, No nothing’s coming close to fill the shoes, Four wheels and the truth. Was something in the rearview, Now it’s also up ahead, It’s my present day routine, It’s the cube I wanna gleam, The sound of nothing in the stream. Driving a two lane highway, Thinking how it ain’t so bad. When it’s the only one you got, The sound of nothing to be thought, In your abandoned restaurant. I see the ball rolling, I wonder where it’s made. My feet upon the pedals, Just an hourglass away, No, nothing’s coming close to fill the shoes Talkin’ four wheels and the truth I see it all roll down the highway, That I’ve been driving down all day, My feet up on the pedals, Just an hourglass away, No, nothing’s coming close to fill the shoes. No, nothing’s coming close to fill the shoes. Talkin’ four wheels and the truth, Four wheels and the truth.

Long ago, Your city was a city when you didn’t know, The name of every horse who clopped around your part of town. Yeah, you might look around Counting out, Counting out, Count em out, I hope you have a good one. Below your feet, Another slab of concrete that’ll hold in heat, And it’s only getting hotter now, So you might look around, And start counting em out, Counting out, Count em out, And you’ll find out, What it means to have a good one. Hope you have a good one. So you might look around, And start counting em out, Counting out, Count em out, And you’ll find out, What it means to have a good one. Hope you have a good one.
